RULES AND REGULATIONS – 2009
All players MUST pay $2.00 tournament fee and be ready to play at their
designated tee time. Not paying fee will result in disqualification.
Also, fee MUST be paid before teeing off. There will be no paying fee
or signing up after round is completed
(Note) At the annual dinner and meeting in November, the tournament fee was raised to $3.00.
The addition will be used to finance the Memorial rock (2/2/12). .
1. Play the ball as it lies, no bumping, regardless of lie. Hole out all putts.
2. If course conditions warrant a sign will be posted on the first tee informing members that the tournament that day is
being played under the Lift, Clean and Place Rule. Players may lift, clean and place their ball within 6 inches, not
nearer the hole, except on a green or in a hazard.
3. Play according to USGA rules and local rules as posted or printed on the
scorecard.
4. The actual score you make on a hole is the score you turn in for tournament purposes. No adjusted scores are to be
used for tournament purposes.
5. Everyone starts on #1 tee unless authorized to start elsewhere.

6 Slower groups must allow following foursome to play through.
Penalties may be assessed.
7. Scorecards must have last name and first name initial to be counted in
tournaments. Scorecards will not have bets, number of putts, etc on cards. Cards must be legible or could be subject
to disqualification.
8. Scorecards will be turned in when finishing the round. No changes will be allowed and no cards turned in at a later date.
9. Foursomes will be played in tournaments unless authorized by Tournament Chairman.
10. In the event of a shotgun-start, members will be informed at an earlier date of the rules.
11. If there are 40 or less members participating in the weekley round, the tournament format would
automatically go to a skins game. Closest to the pin would not change. (1/6/10)
12. The NCGA handicap revision on the first of the month will be used for tournament purposes ((2/4/10).
